Learn how to search and read (ONLINE) Capstone Interactive eBooks through Classlink. Capstone ebooks feature natural voice narration (audio), text tracking (word) and more! Recommended: Capstone eBooks can be downloaded to your iPad to read OFFLINE by installing the Capstone app from Self-Service

Looking for a great ebook that is also an audio book? Checkout the Capstone interactive ebooks available through Classlink. To get started let's open the Capstone app in Classlink, which has already been preloaded on your Classlink homepage. When you open the Capstone app, it will automatically sign-in, but if you've never logged in before please contact the librarian or your ELA teacher for the school login information. When you open Capstone you will notice both fiction and nonfiction titles. The number of ebooks that we have is shown on the top right. See all the Capstone titles by scrolling down the page. You may also browse by tapping the green tabs at the top of the page to sort by popular, newest, or alphabetically by title. The EYE symbol allows you to do a visual search by genre. I'll sort by fiction and I can get even more specific. If I just want to see scary stories to return to the main menu top view all books if you know what you're looking for you may use the search bar to search by title or topic I'm interested in books about I can narrow my search by using the filter menu on the left here I can sort by grade range reading level and even by language I think I might want to read this book called ghost of Alcatraz to look at it I'll tap on the book's cover the summary gives you a brief synopsis of the book and the book information tab Show's title details for example I can see that this book is part of the Haunted America series and it takes about 22 minutes to read remember you do not have read the entire book at one time just like a perfect you can stop and come back to finish the book later if you click on the more titles from the series tab you can find an open other titles in the same series to open and read the book tab a book at the top when the book open till notice the toolbar located at the bottom of the page here you'll see a button called word this will highlight the text as the book is read to you the audio button provides a riddle of the sound effects you may choose to turn the word audio buttons off are the contents button provides more information about the book the author the topic and more and the glossary button provides a dictionary of terms used in the book click Start to begin the book you can turn pages by the arrow buttons on the left and right the pause icon in the center of the toolbar. The book ghosts of Alcatraz and other hauntings of the west by Suzanne guard Alcatraz Island nearly every town has a legend about a harness tap the X on the bottom left of the toolbar when you use class link for any book you will only be able to read online with internet connection if you would like to download an e-book to read offline without internet you will need to install the e-book app available through self-service be sure to watch the tutorial on the Capstone app if you have any questions please contact the librarian have fun exploring ebooks and happy reading
