find accurate information quickly and easily using research in context let's get started by opening class link this app should be on the second page of your apps but if it's not there let's go did the app Library by clicking on the plus sign in the top right-hand corner now simply search research and toggle on the research in context app now it will appear in your app drawer if this is your first time opening research and contacts you will be asked to sign in using class link on the first page of research and context you can search for a specific topic or Browse by these General topics for this example I want to update a slide on my banned books week presentation so I'm going to search for banned books from here I can see all of my search results that if I wanted I could click on a specific type of search result up here at the top I'm going to go ahead and click on this reference article titled banned books know if I scroll down I have a couple of different options that I can do I can change the font size of the text I could even listen to the text being read aloud to me after reading through all of this information on who bans books and Y and a brief history of book Banning I'm going to summarize what I've learned and add it to my slide now you'll notice that I'm not copying and pasting any information from the article right here I'm summarizing it in my own words but I make sure to say where the information came from now that I have all of my information typed out I want to make sure that my teacher knows that I got this information from another source so I'm going to make sure that at the end of my presentation I have a slide dedicated only to my sources to get my source information o go back to the article and click on the top toolbar now I click on select copy the information and then paste it back on my sources slide this will let my teacher know exactly where I got my information from and where she can find it self now I want to go back and find some information about challenged books so I will go back and do another search this time typing in challenged books boost reference article look a good result for me so I'm going to read this one and right off the bat this article gives me some great information about what a challenged book is so I'm going to copy and paste these sentences because I like how the author worded it I'm going to copy it and paste the end of the challenge book section of my slide but I'm going to make sure that I use it in a complete sentence by saying according to my research, and then insert a quote with quotation marks around the words that I took from the now I need to make sure that I copy my source information just like I did for the banned books information so I'll hop back to the article click on site quick select copy the information and then paste it onto my sources slide now that I've got some great information I just want to find a picture really quick I noticed this one popped up in my search results for challenged books so I want to copy and paste it onto a new slide of my presentation to do this I will hold down my finger on the image click on copy and then paste it into my slide now just like with the information I found about banned and challenged books I need to make sure that I cite my source for this picture so I'll go back show me a picture click on site select copy and then paste it in my sources slide and that's it I found all of this wonderful information using research and context if you have any questions about how to use this app field contact your librarian we are happy to help
